Job summary

Walter J Pratt Pty Ltd in Melbourne invites applications for a full-time A Grade electrician to join our state-wide installation team, focusing on commercial and council swimming pool filtration systems. You will work on power, controls and automation cabling, with occasional control panel fit-out and travel as required.

We provide a company vehicle and a mobile phone, with training available and opportunities to grow into a leadership role within our experienced team.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical / industrial electrical installations.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, controls and automation.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics and technical drawings.
• Current driving license.
• Occasional travel with short stays away.

Responsibilities

• Install power and control cabling for pool filtration systems.
• Carry out controls/automation cabling and fit-off.
• Assist service department with diagnosing and repairs as needed.
• Travel as required; support leadership development within the team.

Walter J Pratt P/L have been a leader in the Melbourne commercial pool industry for over 50 years. We are seeking a quality A Grade electrician to join our installation team.

We are an Australian owned family business that absolutely respects their employees and teamwork.

We require a full time A Grade electrician to join our state wide installation team, primarily working on commercial and council swimming pool filtration systems.

Your role will include both power and controls / automation cabling and fit off. Occasional control panel fit out will also be required.

The applicant will need to demonstrate the following.

• Experience with mechanical / industrial electrical installations
• Demonstrate knowledge of instrumentation, controls and automation
• Ability to work alone or within a team environment
• Assist the service department from time to time to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and make repairs as necessary.
• Current driving license
• Ability to problem solve
• Knowledge of PLC functionality
• Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics and technical drawings
• Occasional travel with short stays away

We have experienced electricians that can support and train the successful applicant

The position comes with a vehicle and phone.

Experience with mechanical plant instrumentation installation would be an advantage. We will train the successful applicant on specific equipment as required.
