Job summary

Fortescue is seeking an Electrician to join our CHF maintenance and operations team at Iron Bridge, WA. You will lead by example, demonstrate Fortescue values and safe behaviours, and support the team to deliver reliable plant performance and production outcomes.

The role focuses on fixed plant maintenance in mining, with essential WA Electrical Licence, HV switching qualification, and experience with ABB ASC1000 and ACS880 VSDs.

Qualifications

• WA Electrical Licence required.
• HV Switching Qualification required.
• Experience with ABB ASC1000 and ACS880 VSDs desirable.
• Experience with JORD filter belts desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication; SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency essential.
• Leadership experience and safety focus preferred.
• Experience in Fixed Plant operations and maintenance in mining, especially wet plant equipment.
• Knowledge of WA Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulation.

• Provide input into maintenance planning to ensure scheduled tasks are achievable and safe for production.

• Manage the effective utilisation of plant to support production targets.
• Work within Fixed Plant operations and maintenance in the mining industry, particularly wet plant equipment.
• Provide support and input into maintenance planning processes to ensure scheduled tasks are achievable and support safe and efficient production.
• Ensure Electrical Statutory compliance

Qualifications And Experience

• WA Electrical Licence is essential to be considered for this role
• HV Switching Qualification and experience is essential to be considered for role
• Experience working with ABB ASC1000 and ACS880 VSD's highly desirable
• Exposure to JORD filter belts highly desirable
• Strong written, verbal communication skills and computer proficiency skills in SAP and Microsoft suite essential.
• Previous leadership experience with the ability to engage and empower large teams alongside a proven commitment to safety highly desirable
• Experience within Fixed Plant operations and maintenance in the mining industry specifically wet plant equipment.
• Knowledge of WA Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulation
