Job summary

Hamilton Island is seeking a skilled Electrician to maintain, repair and install electrical systems across island infrastructure including resorts, airport, marina, and dining venues. You will test and tag appliances, service whitegoods, AV systems, motors and pumps, and ensure reliable power and lighting island-wide.

The role includes on-call duties for after-hours support. You will join a close-knit team on Hamilton Island, enjoying a unique island lifestyle with access to staff accommodation

• Respond to call-outs as part of the on-call roster.

You’re a qualified electrician with strong problem-solving skills, experience across a wide range of equipment, and a collaborative, positive approach. You take pride in delivering safe, efficient work and understand the vital role you play in creating a great experience for our guests, and when the tools are down, you’re ready to enjoy your time off in a tropical island paradise.

To be successful, you’ll need

• QLD Electrical Work Licence – Electrical Mechanic (or ability to transfer from interstate)


• Minimum 2 years’ full-time trade experience


• Open/unrestricted manual driver’s licence


• White Card (Construction Induction Training)


• Working at Heights certification


• Current CPR/LVR certification


• Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)


• Willingness to participate in an on-call roster
