Job summary

Hall & Prior Aged Care Group in Darwin is seeking an experienced electrical technician to install, test and maintain electrical systems across commercial, industrial and residential settings.

Reporting to Electrical Manager or Project Manager, you will ensure compliance with Australian Standards, provide mentoring to apprentices, and support large-scale projects with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules and electrical standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and project specifications.
• Proficiency with electrical testing and measurement equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Competence in Aroflo, Simpro or equivalent service management systems.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Installing, testing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems to specification.
• Conducting fault-finding, commissioning and safety testing.
• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and responding to reactive breakdowns.
• Recording job details, parts used and test results in Aroflo/Simpro.
• Reviewing completed jobs for quality and compliance.
• Providing on-the-job guidance and mentoring to apprentices.
• Supporting large-scale projects and cross-trade coordination while following all WHS procedures.

About The Opportunity
