Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific is seeking an Electrician for an educational client in Darwin, NT. The role runs full-time with a typical start around 7:30am and may finish earlier on Fridays.

You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs across client sites, support planning, and ensure safe, compliant installations. Ideal candidates have electrical maintenance experience in commercial settings, OH&S certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in repairs and maintenance of electrical assets in commercial settings.
• OH&S cards valid and up to date.
• Knowledge of AS 3001 standards relevant to electrical systems.
• Valid Driver’s Licence and ability to read and follow service programs.
• Experience with planning and coordinating maintenance activities is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform general electrical preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across client sites.
• Work with maintenance planner and technicians on day-to-day planning and resource coordination.
• Complete maintenance and repair records for assigned tasks.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
• Review work orders and estimate time and materials required.
• Order materials and supplies to complete tasks.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Inspect new installations for code compliance and safety.
• Maintain lighting systems, replace bulbs and lamps as needed.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Adhere to codes, regulations, and company directives related to operations.

Here’s a Snapshot Of Your Day

• This role will perform general electrical preventive maintenance and corrective repair of assets and building systems across our client sites.
• As well as day to day maintenance support this role will work with the maintenance planner and the technicians to include the day-to-day planning, implementation, coordination and management of our technical resources including the development of service programs to support our client’s requirements.
• Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance and complete maintenance and repair records
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems
• Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repair.
• Order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Inspect new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain lighting systems throughout client facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in repairs and Maintenance of electrical assets and systems ideally within the commercial sector
• Critical environment experience would be advantageous
• Experience in Testing and Inspection of assets and systems
• Relevant and valid OH&S cards
• Strong understanding of AS 3001
• Valid Driver’s License
