MPE Services, Inc. in Melbourne seeks a motivated electrician to join our building maintenance team on commercial city contracts. The role covers maintenance, compliance testing, data cabling, and lighting upgrades, with apprenticeship training and close collaboration with management to ensure daily tasks are completed.

Applicants must hold a VIC Electrical Licence, complete police checks, and possess a current RED Card, along with a strong OHS understanding and a professional appearance.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced electrician in the building maintenance field, to work on commercial based city contracts.

Scope and responsibilities of position available:

• Commercial and industrial building maintenance
• Compliance testing (E&E testing, tagging and so on)
• Data cabling repairs and installations
• Lighting upgrades
• Training of apprentices
• Working with management to ensure day to day tasks are completed

• Ability to follow procedures and compliance testing
• Knowledge of auditing procedures
• Electrical construction experience
• Data cabling installation and repairs experience
• High level of enthusiasm
• A strong service ethic towards building tenants and clients
• Flexibility in attitude towards any job required

• Strong communication skills

Requirements:

• Electrical Trade Certificate and current electrical licence for VIC
• Current drivers licence
• Ability to pass a police check
• Current construction industry RED card
• Strong understanding of OHS
