Griffin Marine Services seeks a qualified Electrician to join the Darwin team, establishing and expanding electrical services for marine and industrial projects. You will install, test, fault-find and commission electrical systems across diverse environments while upholding safety and quality standards.

This role offers relocation assistance for the right candidate and a pathway to grow within a national business, working on defence and commercial marine projects.

Formación

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) or equivalent Australian qualification.
• Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, fault-finding and commissioning.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain, inspect, test and repair electrical systems and components.
• Diagnose and fault-find electrical issues using testing equipment.
• Perform testing, verification and commissioning activities.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specs.

The Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our growing Darwin team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing and expanding our electrical services capability as part of Griffin Marine's diverse and evolving service to start up our electrical capabilities in the NT.

Working across a diverse range of marine, industrial, commercial and workshop projects. You will be responsible for electrical installation, maintenance, fault-finding, testing, repairs and commissioning while working alongside a skilled and supportive team.

This is not a FIFO role; you must be based in Darwin or be willing to relocate to Darwin for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect, test and repair electrical systems, equipment and components
• Diagnose and fault-find electrical issues using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment
• Perform electrical testing, verification and commissioning activities
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical specifications
• Complete planned preventative and corrective maintenance activities
• Install and maintain cabling, switchboards, control systems, motors, pumps and associated electrical equipment
• Follow electrical isolation, lock-out/tag-out and safe energisation procedures
• Complete service records, test sheets, commissioning reports and other required documentation
• Support project work, shutdowns, breakdown response and maintenance activities as required
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety, housekeeping and professionalism
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, project teams, clients and other trades

About You

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820) or an equivalent Australian-recognised electrical trade qualification
• Current unrestricted Electrical Work Licence applicable to the Northern Territory
• Demonstrated experience in electrical installation, maintenance, testing, fault-finding, repairs and commissioning
• Experience working in industrial, commercial, marine, defence or similar environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety requirements, isolation procedures and lock-out/tag-out practices
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
• Competency using electrical testing instruments and diagnostic equipment
• Current Construction White Card
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and professional workmanship
• Electrical Nominee
• Current First Aid, CPR and Low Voltage Rescue
• Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
• EWP Licence
• Forklift, Dogging, Rigging or Crane tickets
• Previous experience working in marine or defence environments
• Experience using preventative maintenance systems and service reporting software
