Join a dedicated healthcare facilities team at a central Queensland hospital facility in Herston. These long-term contract electrician roles offer a great rate and a 9-day fortnight schedule, with consistent weekday hours to support hospital operations.

You'll maintain essential plant, backup power, and facility electrical systems, performing planned maintenance and corrective repairs while ensuring compliance with Australian Electrical Standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification: Cert III in Electrotechnology.
• Unrestricted QLD Electrical Work Licence.
• Current CPR / LVR certifications & White Card.
• Australian Working Rights; ability to pass hospital checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & repairs across hospital electrical infrastructure.

Your Daily Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repairs: Execute planned preventative maintenance and corrective repairs across hospital electrical infrastructure.
• Essential Services: Assist with testing, fault-finding, and maintaining emergency power supply, lighting, and specialised medical plant.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all works comply with Australian Electrical Standards, safety regulations, and hospital compliance policies.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and asset logs using computerised maintenance systems.

What You Need

• Trade Qualification: Cert III in Electrotechnology.
• Licence: QLD Electrical Work Licence (Unrestricted).
• Safety Tickets: Current CPR / LVR certifications & Construction Industry White Card.
• Compliance: Australian Working Rights and willingness to complete a National Police Check and health compliance checks (standard for hospital sites).
