Job summary

Meramist Pty is seeking a motivated Electrician to join the team at 78 Old Gympie Road, Caboolture, QLD. You will perform maintenance on electrical equipment, troubleshoot faults, and support continuous production in a beef processing environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Licensed Electrician is mandatory.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding.
• Ability to work effectively in a production environment with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with production to optimise equipment performance daily.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Suggest improvements to systems, procedures, and maintenance practices.
• Maintain health and safety compliance at all times.
• Respond promptly to urgent equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors for plant maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the production team to optimise equipment performance and efficiency on a daily basis.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on all electrical equipment, with a strong focus on proactive fault identification to minimise downtime.
• Contribute ideas and recommendations for improvements to systems, procedures, and maintenance practices.
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety at all times, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Prioritise and respond promptly to urgent equipment breakdowns to minimise disruption to operations.
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety at all times, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure reliable plant maintenance across all areas.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records for all electrical activities.
• Ensure all maintenance activities support safe, efficient, and continuous production operations.
• Assist with capital works projects and continuous improvement initiatives as directed.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical Systems, Maintenance and Safety procedures.

Qualification & Experience

• Trade Qualification as a Licensed Electrician is mandatory.
• Proven experience as an Electrician.
• High level fault finding and problem-solving skills.
• Team player and being proactive and efficient.
