Job summary

3D Recruitment is seeking Electrical Trades Assistants to support ongoing commercial electrical projects across Melbourne. You'll work alongside qualified electricians on office fitouts, retail and education facilities, helping keep installations moving safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have hands-on electrical experience, a White Card, and ability to travel to sites across Melbourne. Overseas trades qualifications welcomed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day electrical installation tasks.
• Pull cables and support tray, conduit and containment installation.
• Support rough-in, fit-off and lighting installations.
• Prepare materials and equipment for electrical works.
• Maintain tidy work areas and follow site safety procedures.
• Collaborate with electricians, supervisors and other trades.

From busy CBD sites to projects throughout the wider suburbs, we're looking for hands-on workers who take pride in their work and want to be part of excellent site teams.

THE COMPANY

We partner with various electrical contractors working across Melbourne's commercial construction sector, supporting projects ranging from new-build apartments to retail and education facilities. With active projects underway, we're keen to meet workers who bring a good attitude, practical skills and a strong approach to site safety.

WHAT YOU GET

• $40–$45 per hour + Super
• $29.10 daily travel allowance

THE ROLE

You’ll be working alongside qualified electricians and other site trades, helping keep electrical installation work moving safely and efficiently. Depending on the project, your duties may include:

• Assisting with day-to-day electrical installation tasks
• Pulling cables and supporting cable tray, conduit and containment installation
• Helping with rough-in, fit-off and lighting installations
• Preparing materials and equipment for electrical works
• Using hand tools and cordless power tools safely and correctly
• Keeping work areas tidy and following site safety procedures
• Working collaboratively with electricians, supervisors and other trades

YOU

We're interested in people who are practical, dependable and comfortable working in a construction environment.

• Previous experience as an Electrical Trades Assistant or in a similar hands-on electrical role
• Overseas electrical trade qualification or licence welcomed
• Current White Card
• Basic hand tools, cordless tools and full PPE
• Reliable transport to get to sites across Melbourne
• A proactive attitude, good timekeeping and a commitment to safety
• Commercial construction experience highly regarded
• EWP, Working at Heights, First Aid and other relevant site tickets desirable
