Job summary

Otis Elevator Company in Darwin invites motivated individuals to start an Electrical Trades Apprenticeship. Intakes are commencing now; you may join as a 1st-year or continue from 2nd/3rd year in an existing program.

You will train in installing, modernizing, servicing, and repairing elevators, escalators, and travelators, rotating between service and construction teams. The role emphasizes electrical and mechanical learning, strong customer service, and a long-term career with Otis.

Qualifications

• Work rights: permanent resident or citizen, or visa holder with full working rights in Australia.
• Highest level of education: Year 10 certificate or equivalent; pre-apprenticeship noted.
• Drivers license: a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Proactivity, curiosity and enthusiasm: self-starters with a passion for innovation and learning.
• An interest in the elevator industry and long-term Otis career.
• Relevant work and/or work experience aligning to the role.
• A demonstrated aptitude and interest in working with technology and smart systems.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices are trained in installation, modernization, servicing, and repairing of elevators, escalators, and travelators.
• Gain electrical and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Rotate between Otis Service and Construction teams during the apprenticeship.
• Develop exceptional customer service skills through interaction with customers.
