Job summary

Visy is seeking an Electrical Technician to maintain and improve electrical systems across our high‑speed pulp and paper plant in New South Wales. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults in motors, drives, conveyors, PLCs and instrumentation, and support reliability and safety improvements.

This role offers a day shift from Monday to Friday with $60 per hour plus overtime, and requires an A Grade Electrical Licence along with experience in heavy industrial

Qualifications

A Grade Electrical Licence.
Experience in manufacturing, pulp & paper, FMCG, packaging, recycling or heavy industrial environments.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and plant assets.
Diagnose faults on motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, PLCs, instrumentation and control systems.
Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring of plant equipment.
Support reliability, safety and efficiency improvement projects.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise plant performance.
Participate in breakdown response and after-hours call-out activities as required.
Standby/on-call duties on a 1-in-4-week roster.
