Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Australia is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join the Maintenance team at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. The role provides electrical service for fixed plant and infrastructure to ensure reliable, efficient run time across the mine site.

The ideal candidate will hold a WA electrical worker's licence, Cert IV Instrumentation, and HV switching training, with extensive experience in mineral processing or heavy industrial plants.

Qualifications

• WA electrical worker's licence is required.
• Cert IV Instrumentation with Endress & Hauser/Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred.
• High Voltage Switching Training, nationally recognised.
• Extensive experience maintaining mineral processing or heavy industrial plants.
• Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Current first aid certificate and CPR.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• WA driver's licence.
• Permanent work rights in Australia (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and instrumentation maintenance on processing plant equipment.
• Perform fault finding on electrical/control systems and implement preventative measures.
• Maintain crushing circuits, conveyors, mills, CIL, elution circuits, wiring and PLCs.
• Install new equipment or modify existing equipment and ensure compliance.
• Be available for after-hours call-outs and night rosters when required.
• Assist with shutdown co-ordination and execution.
