Job summary

Solarig is seeking an Electrical Team Leader in Mudgee (NSW) to oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of a utility-scale solar farm. This hands-on leadership role requires strong HV and electrical maintenance expertise, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will coordinate operations, support technicians and contractors, perform HV switching, and manage maintenance programs to meet production targets. An on-site roster and company vehicle/support are provided.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted NSW electrical license is required.
• 2 years' experience in solar farm operations.
• HV switching qualification is required.
• Construction industry safety card (White Card) is required.
• Cert. IV Work Health & Safety is highly desirable.
• Low Voltage Rescue Training.
• CPR Training.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily solar farm operations and maintenance.
• Support site technicians, contractors and O&M staff.
• Maintain and troubleshoot solar, HV and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Perform HV switching, isolations, shutdowns and re-energisation per procedures.
• Manage CMMS work orders, schedules and reporting.
• Liaise with OEMs and suppliers on technical issues and warranties.
• Support safety, availability and production targets.
• Manage risks and permits; ensure WHS and electrical safety compliance.
• Improve plant reliability and performance.
• Join on-call roster and lead emergency responses as required.

About the Role:

As the Electrical Team Leader, you will lead the day-to-day operation and maintenance activities of a utility-scale solar farm, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to an experienced solar professional with strong HV and electrical maintenance expertise.

• Location: Mudgee (NSW)

• Roster: Monday to Friday;38 hours per week

Core Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily solar farm operations and maintenance.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a reliable, safety-focused Electrical Tradesperson who can take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team. You should have:

• Unrestricted Class Electrical License (NSW) (Required)

• 2 years' experience in Solar Farm

• High Voltage Switching Qualification

• Work safely in the construction industry Card (Required)

• Cert. IV Work Healt & Safety (High desirable)

• Low Voltage Rescue Training

• CPR Training

• A valid Driver’s License

Additionally, you must be:

• Committed to safety and compliance with all WH&S regulations

• Proactive with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills

• A team player with strong communication skills and a can‑do attitude
