Job summary

Sydney Trains is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer for a temporary full-time role at Clyde Depot in Auburn. You will develop standards for electrical systems, support operations staff and contractors, and contribute to investigations and audits across the rolling stock fleet.

Hybrid, you will split time between Clyde Hub (Auburn), Parramatta, and other depots to maintain safe, reliable services.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronic/mechatronic engineering degree with extensive experience.
• Ability to conduct detailed investigations and root cause analyses.
• Experience in rolling stock engineering and engineering modifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve technical standards related to electrical systems for safe, on-time train operations.
• Provide advice and support for Operations and Maintenance staff and Contractors to ensure safe operation.
• Support engineering modifications and investigations on track, and conduct assurance audits.
• Build relationships across Engineering System Integrity, Rollingstock and Network Maintenance.
• Prepare and update procedures and standards for servicing and maintenance of passenger rolling stock.
