Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer for a temporary fixed-term full-time role based at Clyde Depot, Auburn, NSW. The position focuses on developing and improving electrical standards to ensure trains operate safely and on time.

You will advise Operations staff and Contractors, support rolling stock engineering, and collaborate across Engineering System Integrity, Rollingstock and Network Maintenance.

Qualifications

• Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering degree with extensive experience.
• Ability to conduct detailed investigations and root cause analysis.
• Experience in rolling stock engineering and Lean Six Sigma knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve technical standards for electrical systems contributing to safe, on-time trains.
• Provide advice and support for Operations staff and Contractors to ensure safe maintenance and operation.
• Support engineering modifications of trials, assisting investigations on track and conducting assurance audits.
• Develop relationships across Engineering System Integrity, Rollingstock and Network Maintenance
• Prepare and update procedures and standards for servicing, repair and maintenance of passenger rolling stock
