Job summary

Intellergy in Western Sydney seeks an experienced Electrical Supervisor – Overhead to join our team. This hands-on role coordinates overhead construction activities with a focus on pole replacements and network upgrades. You will lead field crews, plan daily field work, and ensure works meet safety and network standards.

You will mentor crew members, resolve field issues, and communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ experience in overhead electrical distribution construction, including pole replacements and overhead line construction.
• Strong understanding of distribution network construction practices, equipment and safety requirements.
• Experience leading crews or supervising field construction activities.
• Ability to plan works, coordinate resources and manage multiple work fronts.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills; proactive safety focus.

As our operations continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor – Overhead to join our Western Sydney team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on supervisory position responsible for coordinating and overseeing overhead electrical construction activities, with a particular focus on pole replacements, overhead mains construction and distribution network upgrades.

You’ll lead field crews, coordinate resources and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required network standards.

We’re looking for someone who understands the realities of working in the field, can make sound decisions under pressure and knows how to get the best out of their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise overhead electrical construction crews undertaking pole replacements, mains construction and network upgrades.
• Plan and coordinate daily field activities, including labour, plant, equipment and materials.
• Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with network operator requirements, construction standards and approved work procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and practical support to field personnel.
• Monitor crew productivity, workmanship and project progress.
• Conduct pre-start meetings, site inspections and safety observations.
• Coordinate with project managers, network representatives, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve construction issues to minimise delays and maintain program delivery.
• Promote a strong safety culture and maintain high standards of accountability across field operations.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced overhead distribution professional who combines strong technical capability with practical leadership skills.

To be successful, you’ll have:

• 5–10 years’ experience in overhead electrical distribution construction, including pole replacements and overhead line construction.
• A strong understanding of distribution network construction practices, equipment and safety requirements.
• Previous experience leading crews or supervising field construction activities.
• The ability to plan works, coordinate resources and manage multiple work fronts.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to managing field operations.
• A commitment to safety, quality and delivering results.

Essential qualifications and licences:

• Relevant electrical trade qualifications, preferably as a qualified Distribution Lineworker.
• Relevant electrical network authorisations and competencies.
• Construction Induction White Card.
• Experience working on the Endeavour Energy distribution network will be highly regarded.
