Job summary

BMD Group in South Australia is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join the Palmer Wind Farm project. You will coordinate and lead electrical crews to deliver critical renewable energy infrastructure on schedule and to safety standards.

Based in SA or VIC with DIDO or FIFO options; reporting to superintendents; you'll manage subcontractors, supervise construction and commissioning activities, and drive a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification and relevant licences.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods and commissioning.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple fronts.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our project team on the Palmer Wind Farm in South Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key in the delivery of a significant renewable energy project.

Open to candidates:
SA based - DIDO daily or stay at accom close to Palmer + site allowance + LAFHA + car
VIC based - FIFO 10:4 roster, site allowance + LAFHA + flights + accom + car

Reporting to the General Superintendent and Project Director, you’ll coordinate and lead teams to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise electrical construction works across wind farm infrastructure and associated facilities.
• Lead and coordinate with electrical crews and subcontractors onsite.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications, quality requirements and construction schedules.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all site safety procedures and legislative requirements.
• Monitor productivity, progress and resource requirements.
• Conduct inspections, testing activities and quality assurance checks.
• Assist with planning, programming and short-term look-ahead scheduling.
• Build positive relationships with project stakeholders and delivery partners.

About You

• Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor on major infrastructure, energy, utilities, transmission, renewable energy or industrial projects.
• Electrical trade qualification and relevant licences.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Sound understanding of electrical construction methodologies and commissioning activities.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work fronts.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
