Job summary

Spinifex Recruiting is partnering with a leading contractor delivering a significant utility-scale energy project in regional NSW. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee all electrical construction activities across the development.

The role reports to the Project Leadership Team and will lead site teams, subcontractors, and commissioning personnel to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted Australian Electrical Licence.
• Extensive electrical construction experience within Australia.
• Experience in Superintendent, Senior Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to drive project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction across all electrical construction activities.
• Act as the project's Electrical Licence Holder.
• Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors, supervisors and commissioning personnel.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, statutory obligations and project requirements.
• Drive a proactive safety culture and maintain exceptional HSE outcomes.
• Oversee electrical installation, testing, commissioning and energisation activities.
• Work with project management to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
• Identify and mitigate technical, operational and delivery risks.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, consultants, network providers and delivery partners.

Job description

Spinifex Recruiting is partnering with a leading contractor delivering a significant utility-scale energy project in regional NSW. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join the leadership team and oversee the successful delivery of all electrical construction activities across a major renewable energy development.

This is a career-defining opportunity to take ownership of the electrical function on a complex project that will employ approximately 100-150 personnel during peak construction and deliver critical infrastructure supporting Australia's evolving energy network.

As the project's nominated Electrical Licence Holder, you will play a key role in ensuring all electrical works are delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest quality standards from construction through to commissioning.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Project Leadership Team, you will provide strategic and operational oversight of all electrical activities across the project lifecycle.

You will lead site-based electrical teams and specialist subcontractors, driving safety, quality, program delivery and compliance outcomes while fostering a high-performance culture onsite.

About You

You are a proven electrical leader with experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or energy projects and possess the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced construction environment.

You will bring:

• A current unrestricted Australian Electrical Licence.
  
• Extensive electrical construction experience within Australia.
  
• Previous experience in a Superintendent, Senior Supervisor, Construction Manager or similar leadership role.
  
• Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  
• Excellent knowledge of electrical compliance, safety systems and construction methodologies.
  
• A hands-on leadership style with the ability to drive project outcomes whilst supporting and developing site teams.
