DFP Recruitment is seeking a qualified electrician for a Kalgoorlie-based field service role covering generator and power generation equipment across the Goldfields. You will diagnose faults, service equipment and keep critical power systems operating reliably in the field.
Experience with generators is valued but not essential; strong diagnostic skills, hands-on approach and ability to work autonomously on customer sites will help you succeed in this permanent, full-time position.
Are you a qualified electrician who enjoys fault finding, diagnostics and getting to the bottom of technical problems?
Looking for something different from repetitive electrical installation work?
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established field-service operation in Kalgoorlie and build your expertise across generators and power generation equipment.
We are looking for a capable, hands-on Service Electrician to support customers across Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the wider Goldfields.
Previous generator experience is highly regarded, but it isn't essential. If you come from industrial maintenance, mining, heavy equipment, electrical service or field maintenance and you're strong on diagnostics, we'd like to hear from you.
This isn't just another installation role. You'll be out in the field diagnosing problems, servicing equipment and keeping critical power systems operating reliably.
We're particularly interested in electricians from backgrounds such as:
Mining | Industrial Maintenance | Field Service | Heavy Equipment | Power Generation | Fixed Plant | Mobile Equipment | Electrical Maintenance
Great if you have it. Don't rule yourself out if you don't.
Experience with generators, diesel-powered equipment, generator controllers, automatic transfer systems or field service will be highly regarded.
However, we're equally interested in hearing from a strong electrician with industrial, mining or heavy-equipment experience who has excellent diagnostic skills and wants to develop specialist generator expertise.
Tickets such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP and First Aid will also be well regarded.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident to be considered for this permanent position.
Please ensure your current residency/work status is clearly stated in your application.
If you're an experienced electrician in Kalgoorlie-Boulder or the Goldfields and want a role offering variety, autonomy and the chance to build valuable specialist skills, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
Applicants new to DFP may be asked to provide additional information including work rights status via a survey link – if requested, we ask that you provide this information in order to expedite your application.
