Job summary

Bengalla Mining Company in Muswellbrook, NSW, is seeking a Reliability Advisor (Electrical) to join the CHPP Reliability team. The role focuses on improving safety, availability, reliability and cost efficiency through data analysis and field verification.

The position is residential-based, Monday–Friday, offering a lifestyle-friendly work arrangement and a path to contribute to a stable mining operation.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification required.
• Tertiary engineering or asset management qualifications highly regarded but not essential.
• Previous CHPP or similar fixed plant maintenance experience.
• Exposure to a Maintenance Management system (Pulse would be advantageous).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage and influence all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to maintenance planning and execution teams through field engagement with technicians and stakeholders.
• Identify defects through analysis of downtime events, technical reports and failure data.
• Assess, prioritise and manage reliability and defect elimination projects to improve safety, availability, reliability and cost.
• Review component strip reports and conduct failure analysis to inform tactics.
• Monitor and review the effectiveness of existing tactics with CHPP team and stakeholders.
• Provide technical input into shutdown planning scope.
• Support OSR team regarding component rebuild, repair and replacement scopes.
• Assist infrastructure team with reliability/condition monitoring functions.
