Job summary

SEE Group is seeking Expressions of Interest for a Quality Engineer/Contractor’s Quality Representative (CQR) to support upcoming Townsville and Cairns region projects. You will implement and monitor quality objectives, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with TMR standards and IMS.

Ideally you are a degree-qualified Civil Engineer or Civil Technical Officer, with experience on large civil projects and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality role on TMR projects.
• Degree qualified Civil Engineer or Civil Technical Officer with qualifications accepted by Engineers Australia.
• Familiar with TMR specifications and Quality Management System principles.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Contracts administration experience on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project quality plans, inspection and test plans, sampling requirements and quality control procedures.
• Ensure civil works comply with TMR legislation, project specifications, applicable standards, contractual requirements and IMS.
• Maintain accurate quality records, lot registers, test results and handover documentation, with clear progress and performance reporting.
• Conduct audits and surveillance of construction activities, subcontractors and suppliers, and verify compliance with approved processes.
• Manage non-conformances, analyse quality trends, and coordinate timely corrective and preventive actions through to close-out.
• Partner with engineering, supervision, subcontractors and clients to communicate quality requirements, provide technical guidance and drive continuous improvement.

The Opportunity
We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Quality Engineers/Contractor's Quality Representatives (CQR) with DTMR project experience for upcoming projects across the Townsville and Cairns regions.
As a Contractor’s Quality Representative (CQR) you will support the implementation and monitoring of quality objectives, requirements, risks, and other issues across the project to ensure they meet TMR’s quality and safety standards. Relocation support may be considered for the right candidate.
