Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical installations on time and within budget. You will oversee staff and subcontractors on-site, provide day-to-day support, and resolve issues, while engaging in progress meetings with key stakeholders and customers.

You will ensure commissioning of electrical services, assist with front-end design and preconstruction, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in renewable and energy sector projects (e.g., Solar PV, battery storage, EV charging)
• Experience managing design and build projects
• Delivery of projects as project lead where principal contracting
• Proven track record of managing a team and delivering electrical project installations with renewables
• Prepare Contract Documents (e.g., Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFIs, Technical Submissions)
• Thorough understanding of electrical works and construction processes
• Prepare handover documents (O&M Manuals, Record Drawings)
• Health and safety on site management
• Zero defects attitude
• Flexibility to travel between main office and site

Job description

• To be responsible for the delivery of Electrical project installations on time and within budget, whilst exceeding customer expectations.
• To oversee members of staff and sub-contractors on-site, including day to day support, continual training and to effectively resolve any issues that may arise.
• To play an active part in progress meetings with key stakeholders and customers.
• To ensure that any Electrical services systems are properly installed and commissioned.
• Provide front end design & preconstruction management where required
• To maintain a good, professional working relationship with customers, keeping them updated throughout the duration of the project.
• A commitment to adhere to the OCS Group’s health and safety policies and procedures and enforce this where necessary.

About The Role

Key Skills & Experience

• Delivery of projects as project lead where we are acting principal contracting preferable
• Proven track record of managing a team and successfully delivering electrical project installations with renewable technologies
• Prepare Contract Documents I.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI’s, Technical Submissions, etc.
• Thorough understanding of electrical works and in-depth knowledge of the construction process.
• Prepare handover documents i.e. O&M Manuals and Record Drawings.
• Health and safety on site management
• Zero defects attitude
• Flexibility to travel, working between main office and site based
