New Edge Group in Cairns, QLD is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead major commercial and industrial electrical projects, working closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

This full-time role focuses on delivering projects on time and within budget, ensuring Australian Standards compliance and strong WHS performance, while building lasting relationships with stakeholders and advancing Queensland operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing electrical projects within the construction industry.
• Strong experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical projects.
• Electrical trade qualification or relevant electrical engineering/construction qualification.
• Strong understanding of electrical services, drawings and specifications.

Responsabilités

• Manage electrical projects from planning through to completion.
• Manage project budgets, costs, forecasts and financial performance.
• Develop and manage project programs, milestones and critical dates.
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, suppliers and materials.
• Provide leadership to Site Managers, Supervisors and project teams.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting.
• Manage variations, procurement and project documentation.
• Liaise with builders, clients, consultants and other contractors.
• Identify and manage project, commercial and delivery risks.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, project specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintain a strong focus on Workplace Health and Safety
• Manage testing, commissioning, handover and project close-out
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders

About the Role

New Edge Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team based in Cairns, QLD.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical projects, working closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical projects from planning through to completion

• Manage project budgets, costs, forecasts and financial performance

• Review and understand project scopes, specifications, drawings and contractual requirements

• Develop and manage project programs, milestones and critical dates

• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, suppliers and materials

• Provide leadership and direction to Site Managers, Supervisors and project teams

• Experience managing project budgets, procurement, variations and subcontractors

• Strong commercial awareness and contract administration skills
