Job summary

Skout Solutions Group seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to support the Project Manager in delivering and executing projects in New South Wales. You will provide technical support across the project lifecycle and assist in managing scope, time, cost, quality and risk.

Key duties include leading work packages, reviewing project docs, developing methodology and risk assessments, and coordinating with stakeholders to meet milestones and budgets.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Electrical Project Engineer.
• Current White Card.
• Valid Australian Driving Licence.
• Meets critical programmed milestone dates and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Accept delegated responsibilities from the project manager and lead their Work Packages and disciplines.
• Review project documentation to understand scope, specifications and performance outcomes.
• Assist in developing Construction Methodology & Staging with engineering resources and SMEs.
• Assist in developing and maintaining Risk Assessment documents.
• Gather information from project sites for design resources to meet methodology and risk requirements.
• Support the Project Manager to ensure project success through stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure compliance with Partnering for Success (P4S) protocols.

About the role

The Electrical Project Engineer will act as support to the Project Manager in project delivery & execution. The Electrical Project Engineer will provide technical support to the project lifecycle in addition to supporting the Project manager with the management of the project scope with respect to time/cost/quality & risk.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accepting delegated responsibilities from the project manager and leading their specified works Package/s and/or discipline (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Reviewing Project documentation for any given project and understanding the project scope of works,specifications and Sydney Water's desired performance outcomes for the project to be a success.
• Assist the Project Manager to develop the Construction Methodology & Staging in consultation with other engineering resources, key stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
• Assist the Project Manager to develop and maintain the Risk Assessment document based on the proposed delivery strategy.
• Assist other Project Engineers and the Construction Supervisors and Site Engineers to gather information from the proposed project site all that is required for design engineering resources to produce a design that is in accordance with the Construction Methodology and the Risk Assessment.
• Previous working experience as an Electrical Project Engineer
• Valid Australian Driving Licence
• Current White Card
• Demanstrated safety leadership skills and experience
• Previously have worked with Microsoft 365 business applications, skills in other construction softwqare packages is preferred but not essential
• Experience within the water and sewer sector is preferred but not essential
• Meet critical programmed milestone dates and budgets.
• Undertake Zero Harm inspections on our sites.
• Assisting the Site Supervisor in implementing compliant and effective site mobilisations and work package execution
• Assisting the Project Manager in the successful delivery of the project through engagement with all appropriate stakeholders
• Understanding and implementing the Partnering for Success (P4S) protocols and commitments to effectively achieve Win/Win outcomes for the project, site, and broader business.
