Job summary

Complete Staff Solutions has a contract opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to oversee electrical and electronic infrastructure projects on the Central Coast, NSW. The role encompasses planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and asset management on-site.

You will have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, a NSW Supervisors Certificate, and a White Card, with strong project delivery skills across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in electrical engineering with relevant project engineering experience.
  • Qualified Supervisors Certificate (Electrical) per NSW Fair Trading requirements.
  • Current NSW White Card or equivalent Construction Induction training.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical technology, including HV/LV distribution and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of diverse electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, estimates, investigations and design services.
  • Support tendering, contract management and contractor oversight.
  • Develop project plans, WBS and resource requirements.
  • Provide technical engineering advice throughout the lifecycle.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer for a contract opportunity with one of our clients.

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to oversee the delivery of electrical and electronic infrastructure projects across planning, design, procurement, installation, contract management, commissioning and asset management.

The role will be required to be on-site on the Central Coast, NSW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of a diverse range of electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Undertake project feasibility, estimates, investigations and design services.
  • Support tendering, contract management, contractor and consultant management, project handover and defects liability.
  • Develop project plans, work breakdown structures and resource requirements.
  • Provide technical engineering advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review and update electrical and technical specifications, incorporating lessons learned and improvements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Supervise contractors and internal resources as required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, electrical regulations, standards and environmental requirements.
About You

You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong project delivery skills and a practical understanding of electrical infrastructure systems.

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with relevant project engineering experience.
  • Qualified Supervisors Certificate (Electrical) in accordance with NSW Fair Trading requirements.
  • Current Class C Driver Licence.
  • Current NSW SafeWork Construction General Induction Card (White Card) or equivalent.
  • Experience working on complex, multidisciplinary projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical technology, including HV/LV power distribution, motors, controls, instrumentation, floodlighting and basic telecommunications.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical regulations, standards, legislation and environmental requirements.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in contract, project management or a related discipline.
