Job summary

WaterNSW seeks an experienced Maintenance Officer Trade - Electrical. This full-time, permanent role focuses on maintaining water infrastructure, river systems and assets, ensuring service delivery and safety.

The position offers hybrid work arrangements and a 4-day week at full pay under the Enterprise Agreement, with strong career development opportunities. The role requires an electrical trade qualification, the ability to lead small teams, and a NSW driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification required.
• Experience in maintenance, monitoring and operation of water infrastructure preferred.
• Ability to lead small work groups and cover for team roles as needed.
• Current NSW Drivers Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance and service of water infrastructure, river systems and assets are completed to trade standards and requirements.
• Deliver accurate quantity and quality of water to customers via surveillance of water assets.
• Perform operational maintenance tasks and minor works to support the preventive maintenance program.
• Capture and store data for maintenance management systems.
• Undertake dam surveillance, water quality sampling and on-site water delivery operations as required.
• Adhere to emergency policies and participate in water infrastructure activities, flood and pump operations.
