Job summary
Rio Tinto is seeking an Electrical Maintainer for the Amrun Plant at Weipa. This permanent role covers preventative maintenance, breakdown response and improvement works on our fixed-plant assets.
You’ll work with the Amrun team, live in Weipa, and enjoy a 7 days on/7 days off roster with camp accommodation, relocation assistance, and comprehensive Rio Tinto benefits. You’ll perform electrical maintenance of motors, drives, distribution boards, UPS systems and safety systems, conduct isolations,
Qualifications
- Queensland Electrical Trades Licence required or ability to obtain one.
- Experience maintaining fixed plant in mining or heavy industry.
- Experience using SAP or a similar work-management system.
- Commitment to safety and compliant with site procedures.
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative maintenance and inspections on fixed plant electrical equipment.
- Attend breakdowns and fix faults across beneficiation plant areas.
- Perform isolations and work safely per site procedures.
- Support shutdowns, project work and continuous improvement.
- Record work in SAP with accuracy.
- Collaborate with mechanical maintainers and plant operators to keep the plant running safely.
