Job summary

Colliers Engineering and Design in Australia is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical and Lighting team. You will design electrical and lighting solutions, collaborate with senior staff, and progress through mentoring.

With 3+ years in electrical reticulation design, drafting, and related sectors, you will contribute to projects across land development, SAPN, DIT, and local government, using AutoCAD and AGI32.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical reticulation design or drafting, preferably with some exposure to land development, Local Government, DIT, architectural lighting, SA Water and SA Power Networks (or equivalent interstate distributors) projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD and AGI32 software (training and mentorship provided).
• Experience with relevant Australian Standards and Industry Design Guides, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS/NZS 1158.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Eagerness to learn from senior staff.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team.

Responsibilities

• Work with Senior Electrical Engineers and other professionals on designing electrical and lighting solutions across various sectors.
• Prepare design inputs for drafting and update designs in AutoCAD.
• Prepare and update design reports for electrical and lighting designs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants and representatives.
• Ensure designs meet relevant standards, project timelines and budgets.
• Participate in project meetings and design reviews.
