Job summary
Tronox Limited, Broken Hill in NSW, seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for our mineral separation plant. This permanent full-time role is based on a 9-day fortnight and focuses on maintenance, testing and calibration of fixed plant equipment and instrumentation.
The ideal candidate holds NSW Electrical Qualified Supervisor Certificate, understands AS3000/WHS, and has HV switching, PLC/SCADA, and SAP familiarity.
Qualifications
- NSW Electrical Qualified Supervisor Certificate or ability to obtain.
- Familiar with AS3000 and WHS regulations for mines and petroleum sites.
- Available for on-call roster and after-hours call-outs.
- Industrial, fixed plant or mining electrical background is required.
- HV switching certification and experience.
- Instrumentation and process control experience.
- PLC and SCADA experience.
- Nationally Accredited High Risk Work Licences: dogging, forklift, basic scaffolding, boom-type EWP >11m.
- Familiar with SAP and Microsoft 365.
Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance, inspection testing and calibration for fixed plant equipment and instrumentation.
- Minimise downtime through fault finding and repair actions.
- Ensure reliability by investigating and preventing recurrence of electrical faults.
- Install and commission modifications to control, instrument and electrical equipment.
- Isolate plant/equipment for maintenance per procedures.
- Participate in team projects and drive continuous improvement.
