MMG Dugald River is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to support mine operations. Responsibilities include maintaining electrical/instrumentation infrastructure, ensuring asset reliability, and performing work in the fixed plant maintenance environment.

Shifts are 8/6 days with bus-in/bus-out options from Cloncurry or Mt Isa, or FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville. You will bring dual trade certification, 3–5 years of trade experience, and strong knowledge of HV

Qualificações

• Dual trade certification in Electrical and Instrumentation.
• 3–5 years of trade experience in mining.
• Underground maintenance experience.
• Experience with HV switchgear and RMUs.
• Knowledge of motor controls and variable speed drives.
• Experience with Schneider PLCs and instrumentation.
• Ability to perform repairs in hard rock underground mining.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain fixed Electrical and Instrumentation infrastructure and ensure safety.
• Ensure reliability and safe operation of assets with production KPI targets.
• Perform similar tasks in mineral processing fixed plant maintenance operations.
• Fault finding and maintenance in heavy industrial and process environments.

About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Technician to join our team at Dugald River Mine. This role would report into the Supervisor - Maintenance Electrical, you will provide Maintenance support to the Dugald River Mine operations.

This role is a based on an 8/6 dayshift (night shift as required). Bus in bus out (BIBO) from Cloncurry or Mt Isa, or FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring statutory compliance in maintaining fixed Electrical and Instrumentation infrastructure whilst providing a safe working culture.
• The reliability and safe operation of assets are integral to this position, as daily and weekly targets are measured against with production targets as critical KPI's.
• You will also be called upon as required to perform the same tasks in the mineral processing fixed plant maintenance operations environment.
• Important to the role, will be your experience within fault finding and fixed plant maintenance for a heavy industrial and process environment.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Dual trade certification in Electrical and Instrumentation along with at least 3-5 years of trade experience.
• Strong work ethic, safety values, and an extensive maintenance background including underground the ability to perform all repairs within scope, installation, servicing, overhauls, and commissioning in a hard rock underground mining environment.
• Solid experience in HV switchgear and RMU's, motor controls, variable speed AC drives, Schneider PLCs, pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentation.
• Literacy in a computerised maintenance management system such as SAP will be highly regarded.
