Job summary

2xm is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our rotating equipment service team based in Rydalmere, NSW. The role involves repair, maintenance and rewinding of electrical motors and generators with a strong emphasis on safety and workmanship.

You will work in a dual workshop and onsite environment, travel nationally and internationally when required, and contribute to meeting project deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-first mindset.
• Experience with repair, maintenance and rewinding of motors and generators.

Responsibilities

• Repair and rewind electrical motors and generators, including DC motors.
• Assemble and disassemble electrical rotating equipment.
• Conduct testing and service on LV/HV equipment.
• Attend onsite repairs and service work as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized workshop.

Electrical Fitter $55–$60 per hour | Rydalmere, NSW | Initial 6X Months with a view to ongoing

• 7.30am - 4pm Monday - Thursday
• 7.30am - 2pm Friday

We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Fitter to join a leading rotating equipment services team based in Rydalmere, NSW.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with experience in the repair, maintenance and rewinding of electrical motors and generators. If you have a strong electrical background, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety, we want to hear from you!

The RoleBased at Rydalmere NSW 2116, you will be responsible for repairing and servicing low- and high-voltage electrical rotating machinery and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair and rewind electrical motors and generators, including DC motors.
• Assemble and disassemble electrical rotating equipment.
• Conduct static and dynamic electrical testing.
• Carry out repairs on low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) equipment.
• Perform motor balancing where required.
• Attend onsite repairs and service work as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.
• Follow all quality, safety and environmental procedures.

About You

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent.
• A current state-issued electrical licence or relevant permit.
• Experience repairing and rewinding DC motors and medium- to high-voltage motors and generators.
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
• Good communication, teamwork and time management skills.
• The ability to work effectively in both workshop and onsite environments.
• Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally when required.

Desirable:

Experience with motor balancing.
