Job summary

Becks Workforce is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter for our client in the Alexandria area. The role involves building switchboards, wiring panels and machinery, and installing DC motors.

A casual hourly rate with daily overtime and Saturday penalties is offered, with a path to a permanent position after a qualifying period. Trade certification as an Electrician and at least 2 years in electrical fitting are required.

Qualifications

• Trade certified Electrician with 2+ years in electrical fitting.
• Experience on electrical switchboards or control panels.
• Ability to read and work from electrical schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical hand tools.
• Team player with a safety-focused mindset.

We are seeking to employ experienced trade certified "Electrical Fitter" for their factory located in the Alexandria area. Excellent opportunity for someone that is seeking long term job stability. Job Responsibilities

• Able to interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
• Build electrical switchboards / control panels.
• Wire to control panel, mixers, conveyors and other types of small machinery.
• Install and wire, DC motors and gearboxes.
• Using a variety of tools.

Qualifications and Experience

• Trade certified within Electrical Engineering/Electrician and or equivalent.
• 2 years plus in Electrical Fitting (and or equivalent) role.
• Electrical switchboard and/or control panel experience.
• Ability to understand and work off electrical schematics.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with electrical tools
• Possess behaviour that encourages teamwork.
• Safe work attitude.

Position could also suit an individual that has commercial electrical experience, with an understanding of industrial process. Paying a casual rate of approximately $45.00-$50.00 per hour (depending on your experience), with daily overtime and Saturday's, at penalty rates, with 6am starts.
