About the role

Bunge is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Maintenance & Engineering team based in Adelaide. This role plays a key part in supporting both capital works and maintenance projects across our Australian and New Zealand operations. You will contribute your expertise in electrical, electronic, and control systems to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery in industrial environments, including hazardous areas.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will:

  • Provide technical input and support for electrical engineering aspects of maintenance and capital projects.
  • Prepare project documentation including design briefs, budgets, and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, WHS regulations, and Bunge’s engineering standards.
  • Support project planning, installation, commissioning, and reporting activities.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with operations, safety teams, and regional management.

About You

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent, recognised by Engineers Australia as Professional Engineer Grade).
  • 5–8 years of experience in a similar industrial role.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects safely, efficiently, and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, WHS regulations, and hazardous area compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • PLC & Control Systems programming
    • Low Voltage Electrical equipment
    • Electrical Design Review, Machine SID, and Risk Assessment
    • AutoCAD for electrical design and drafting
  • Desirable but not Essential
  • SCADA Ignition Automation
  • Machine Safety
  • Hazardous Area classification and design
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality assurance.
