Job summary

CV Infrastructure Services seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer/Designer to join our Brisbane team at the Hendra Office. You will design LV electrical systems, coordinate with drafting and project teams, and contribute to major roads, rail and utilities projects across Queensland.

The role is predominantly office-based with occasional site visits, offering mentoring, career development and a collaborative work culture within the CV Services Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Diploma of Electrical Engineering, or current/previous Queensland Electrical Licence
• Experience in electrical engineering design
• Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 compliant LV electrical systems
• Experience designing lighting, power distribution and control systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and lighting design software such as AGi32 (or equivalent)
• Experience using PowerCad or similar maximum demand software
• Knowledge of structured cabling, telecommunications and security systems
• Experience preparing technical reports, specifications and engineering documentation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes

Responsibilities

• Design LV electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, reticulation networks and control systems
• Prepare switchboard single-line diagrams, load schedules and detailed design documentation
• Conduct maximum demand, voltage drop, protection coordination and lighting calculations
• Produce technical reports, specifications and tender documentation
• Coordinate telecommunications, structured cabling, CCTV, access control and security system designs
• Support Energex, Ergon and NBN submissions and authority approvals
• Conduct site investigations, inspections and as-built verification activities
• Collaborate with HV engineers, CAD drafters and construction teams to deliver practical, buildable solutions
• Provide technical support throughout project delivery and construction phases
• Participate in Safety in Design (SiD) workshops and design reviews
