Job summary

WSP is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Adelaide to join the Building Services team. You will provide electrical design and engineering support across diverse building projects, from concept through to detailed design and delivery, taking ownership of design packages and coordinating with clients and other disciplines.

Ideal candidate has 3–7 years in electrical engineering, strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting, and relevant Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000, NCC), and a proven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3-7 years' experience in electrical engineering, ideally within the Australian building services consulting environment.
• Experience delivering electrical building services designs across commercial, health, defence, education, infrastructure or similar sectors.
• Good understanding of electrical services including power distribution, lighting and associated building systems.
• Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Codes, including AS/NZS 3000 and the NCC.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project priorities and deliver high-quality work within agreed timeframes.
• A proactive approach with a willingness to continue developing your technical and project delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake electrical design and documentation for building services projects across a range of sectors.
• Deliver electrical engineering solutions from concept and schematic design through to detailed design and construction.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, reports, drawings and other technical documentation.
• Design and coordinate electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, communications and associated building services systems.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure coordinated and practical design outcomes.
• Support the delivery of multiple projects while managing priorities, quality and deadlines.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Assist with site inspections, design reviews and construction-phase technical support.
• Apply relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and WSP design and quality processes.
• Continue developing your technical, client-facing and project management capabilities with support from senior team members.
