Job summary

Core Talent is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our EV charging infrastructure team in Sydney. You will design electrical systems, perform load calculations and assist with commissioning of EV charging solutions.

This hybrid role offers exposure to battery storage, renewable energy projects and collaboration with contractors and stakeholders across Greater Sydney.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical design, power distribution or project delivery.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and produce documentation.
• Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and compliance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, perform load calculations, and create technical drawings.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning of EV charging infrastructure.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot faults and optimise system performance.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join a growing business delivering EV charging infrastructure and innovative energy solutions. This role combines electrical design, project delivery and commissioning, with exposure to battery storage and energy management technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, complete load calculations and prepare technical drawings.
• Support the installation, testing and commissioning of EV charging infrastructure.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and optimise system performance.
• Ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards and safety requirements.
• Support battery storage integration and future infrastructure projects.

About You

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in electrical design, power distribution or electrical project delivery.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and produce technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and compliance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable: Experience with EV charging, BESS, renewable energy or power systems.
