Job summary

Jacobs in Perth is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical systems for major industrial and mining clients. You’ll work across studies, detailed design, commissioning, and project delivery, providing technical guidance to engineers and collaborating with global teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, experience in resources/mining, and knowledge of power systems, protection, and industrial installations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver electrical engineering solutions across studies, sustaining capital works, and project delivery phases.
• Design and manage MV/LV power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, motors, protection systems, and associated plant infrastructure.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and global delivery centres to successfully deliver projects.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to developing engineers.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business growth opportunities within the resources sector

As demand for our services continues to grow and our portfolio of secured projects expands, we're growing our Perth-based Resources team and seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for major industrial and mining clients.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Chartered status (or working towards it) highly regarded
• Previous experience in electrical engineering within resources and mining
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, distribution networks, protection systems, and industrial installations.
• Experience working across studies, detailed design, commissioning, and project delivery.
