ANSTO is seeking an Electrical Controls Systems Technician/Specialist to design, draft, cabling, and test PLC and motion control systems. You will manage end-to-end deployment, perform maintenance and fault-finding, and ensure compliance with standards.
You will deploy field-tested control systems, program motion controllers, and manage power distribution and UPS maintenance. An electrical contractor's licence is required.

The Electrical Controls Systems Technician/Specialist is responsible for designing, drafting, cabling, and testing of PLC and Motion control systems. Working with the other ACNS Electrical Engineering team members you will take a specification from stakeholders and manage the complete end to end deployment of the control systems. Maintenance, fault finding, and repairs of existing electrical control systems is a significant part of the position requirements. You will have the opportunity to program motion controllers and PLCs and deploy these systems in the field and test against functional requirements and standardised protocols. This position requires an electrician with an electrical contractor's licence and is also responsible for the management of the maintenance and testing of the power distribution and UPS systems.
