Job summary

Nyrstar in Port Pirie, SA, seeks an Electrical Compliance Officer to manage electrical asset compliance, audits, and regulatory alignment. The role involves hands-on asset registers, SAP-driven task workflows, and dashboards for leadership.

Ideal candidates hold an Electrical Trade Certification with extensive AS/NZS 3000 knowledge and experience in hazardous areas, HV/LV, and instrumentation. Strong auditing and stakeholder management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Significant electrical experience at trades level and strong knowledge of AS/NZS 3000.
• Experience managing compliance programs, statutory inspections, and audits.
• Proficient in SAP or similar CMMS and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiar with SA electrical regulatory requirements and HS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review and update electrical asset registers to ensure accuracy and statutory alignment.
• Align inspection tasks with SAP workflows to track timely completion.
• Create a risk-based internal audit regime to verify compliance.
• Develop monthly compliance dashboards for senior management visibility.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to close compliance gaps.
• Maintain relationships with the Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR).
• Issue on-time monthly compliance reports and review site procedures.
