Electrical Commissioning Engineer | Data Centres

This is a specialist commissioning consultancy that does one thing: data centre commissioning, and does it exceptionally well.

They've grown to 25 people across Melbourne and Sydney, working directly with hyperscale operators and major general contractors on some of the biggest critical infrastructure projects in the country.

There are no business development people here. No HR team. No layers of middle management. Everyone on the team is technical and knows the Data Centre market. You'll learn more working alongside this team in a year than most do in five

The structure is flat and the autonomy is real. You manage your own scope. You decide how your week runs. If you finish early because the work's done, you leave. No one's counting your hours, they care about what you deliver, not when you clock out.

And when you deliver? They notice. Salary reviews happen when you earn them, not when the calendar says so.

What you'll be doing

You'll work as an Electrical Commissioning Engineer on data centre projects across Melbourne, embedded in a team of specialists and working across the full commissioning lifecycle, from the 60-90% design stage through to handover.

Day to day that means leading electrical commissioning activities on site, working directly with general contractors and clients, problem-solving in real time, and communicating clearly across all levels of a project, from the trades on the tools to the hyperscale client team in the meeting room.

This is site-based work. Melbourne projects, own car required (all kilometres reimbursed at the ATO rate - phone and site expenses covered too).

• A solid electrical background: trades or degree, both work here

• The ability to communicate clearly with anyone on a project, from tradies to client directors
• Your own car and the flexibility to work across Melbourne sites
