Job summary

WSP Melbourne seeks an Electrical Engineer with 3–6 years of experience in electrical building services design to join our Melbourne Building Services team. You will contribute to a variety of projects across infrastructure, health, education and data centres, and grow toward senior responsibilities.

You will collaborate with diverse professionals across the wider WSP network, receiving mentoring and guidance to accelerate development and expand capability through the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical).
• 3 to 6 years’ experience in electrical building services design, ideally within a consulting engineering environment.
• Understanding of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3000, NCC etc.).
• Able to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned project and electrical engineering work in line with technical and commercial standards.
• Undertake engineering design and documentation including electrical power systems, lighting, communications and electronic security.
• Communicate effectively with clients, authorities and internal stakeholders across the project lifecycle.
• Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary design environment and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture.
