Job summary

Smart Energy in Albury/Wodonga is seeking a hands-on 2nd or 3rd year electrical apprentice, or a labourer/trade assistant, to join our in-house installation team.

You’ll learn solar and battery installations, servicing and maintenance alongside an experienced A-Grade Electrician, with travel to regional jobs and a Monday–Friday schedule. Accommodation and meals are provided where needed. Start date around early November 2026.

Qualifications

• 2nd or 3rd year electrical apprentice ready to transfer to Smart Energy.
• Labourer or trade assistant with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with solar and battery installations, including site preparation, material handling and equipment setup.
• Help position and secure mounting equipment and solar panels, following safe work procedures.
• Support servicing and maintenance jobs with tools, materials and general site assistance.
• Keep job sites, tools and the work vehicle tidy and organised.
• Help complete digital job records and site documentation.
• Provide friendly, respectful customer service on every job.
