Job summary

Consolidated Power Projects (CPP) in Wingfield, SA, invites an enthusiastic Electrical Apprentice to join our manufacturing division. You will work with experienced tradespeople building and wiring control panels and modular switchrooms for major HV projects across Australia.

You'll learn to read schematics, assemble panels, and test assemblies while completing formal trade qualifications through the four-year program. Training, mentorship, and career progression are provided.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in pursuing a career as an Electrician.
• Year 11 completed (Year 12 preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Hold a valid driver's licence or be working towards one.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with assembly and wiring of protection and control panels.
• Learning to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and drawings.
• Supporting manufacture and fit-out of kiosks and modular switchrooms.
• Completing cable terminations and inter-panel wiring.
• Assisting with switchroom retrofit and upgrade projects.
• Supporting testing, fault finding and quality assurance activities.
• Maintaining workshop safety, housekeeping and quality standards.
• Working closely with qualified electricians and tradespeople to develop your skills.

Program Overview

Supported by MEGT and Apprenticeship Support Australia, our four-year program offers:

• On-the-job training and rotations across projects and sites
• Off-the-job block/day release training delivered by TAFE SA
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology Systems Electrician upon completion

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Apprentice to join our manufacturing division (CPI) based in Wingfield, SA.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your electrical trade within a specialised area of the industry. As part of your apprenticeship, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople building and wiring control panels, protection systems and modular switchrooms used on major high-voltage infrastructure projects throughout Australia.

You'll gain hands-on experience reading electrical schematics, wiring panels, installing equipment and testing completed assemblies, while completing your formal trade qualifications. As your skills develop, you'll have the opportunity to gain exposure across both our panel building and switchroom assembly teams, building a strong foundation for a long-term career in the power and renewable energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities Will Include
