Overview

About The Role: Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, you will be responsible for executing the planned maintenance and repairs safely, effectively, and efficiently to support the asset maintenance strategy and long-term asset plan. You will focus on continuous improvement to drive costs down to invest in brownfield growth that is justifiable with a focus on keeping the assets / plants sustainable.

Domestic Relocation included for those residing outside of Whyalla, which includes:

  • Uplift of goods and relocation allowance (for individuals and immediate family)
  • Travel and temporary accommodation (up to 4 weeks)
  • DIDO Option Available (for Port Augusta, Quorn or Cowell residents)
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance and operational team as required in the day-to-day performance of electrical related equipment, and manage the non-process infrastructure
  • Maximise the ratio of electrical proactive, predictive, and preventive maintenance tasks to breakdown maintenance tasks
  • Maintain integrity through planning process and ensure work is aligned with plant requirements
  • Troubleshoot daily plant and equipment issues through application of trades skills and fault-finding techniques
  • Foster a work environment and culture with strong focus on safety across the team
  • Develop an annual budget (R&M, Capital, and major repairs) that supports the maintenance strategy
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are safely managed and completed on time and within the approved budget
About You
  • Electrical trade or Electrical tertiary qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of maintenance planning, supervision and maintenance leadership in a mining, process plant or heavy manufacturing industry
  • Experience in front-line leadership or supervisory role
  • SAP experience highly regarded
