Job description

Gateways Support Services' vision is to provide support for children and adults with disabilities and their families to maximise their quality of life. The Role

We are seeking a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Business Partner responsible for delivering professional health and safety services across the organisation. This includes implementing strategic plans and programs, overseeing injury management and return-to-work processes, and managing Workcover, TAC, personal injury support, and independent injury assessments (IME). The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as insurance agencies and WorkCover, and includes chairing the OHS Committee.

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate
  • A Diploma of Health and Safety or significant experience in a senior health and safety role.
  • Strong knowledge of WorkCover, personal injury, and TAC management.
  • Experience with injury and WorkCover coordination.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to research legislation, WorkSafe regulations, and best practices, and apply them to workplace health and safety.
  • Effective injury management reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Office365 and other computer skills.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Working with Children Check (Victorian, Employee)
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check Clearance
  • Completion of NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • Victorian Driver's License
