The Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on leader who is ready to contribute towards the smooth running of operations at our Belrose Transfer Station. You will manage the day-to-day activities, support a team, and ensure the efficient handling of waste materials. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on coordinating complex operations, providing team support, and managing the flow of waste in and out of the site.

Key Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Be Limited To

• Oversee all aspects of the transfer station, from maintaining daily workflows to ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Lead, train, and support a dedicated team, handling scheduling and staff needs to ensure adequate coverage and peak efficiency.
• Oversee waste intake from the trucks, managing the outbound flow of materials and ensuring optimal use of site resources.
• Direct the public tipping process, managing the flow of trucks on-site and maintaining a safe, orderly environment.
• Manage the logistics of waste products coming into and out of the plant, ensuring proper documentation and efficient processing.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies and procedures.
  
  

About You

• Proven experience in an operations or supervisory role, ideally within a transfer station, logistics, or waste management environment is desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in staff management and scheduling, with a focus on safety and productivity.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with team members, contractors, and the public.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
