I’m partnering with a leading contract catering provider to recruit a Chef Manager for a premium private school in Melbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity for a capable and motivated chef looking to step into a management role while staying hands-on in the kitchen.

The Role

This is a dynamic, hands-on position where you’ll oversee the preparation of all retail food items on site, as well as catering for school events and functions. You’ll lead a small team, maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations within a supportive school community. Occasional weekend work may be required for special events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and work alongside a small kitchen team in daily food production
  • Oversee retail food service and event/function catering
  • Ensure food safety, compliance, and cost control are consistently met
