Qualifications

Job description

The Role

To work under the supervision of registered therapy staff to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service.

Implement, adapt, and progress treatment programmes within agreed protocols and defined parameters.

Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient-centred programmes across various clinical settings.

Discharge or transition care within agreed protocols and defined parameters.

Duties may vary depending on the care group/department or assigned area of work.

What you'll need to bring

Qualifications And Experience

  • HNC in healthcare, education, or social care, or SVQ III in healthcare, education, or social care, or equivalent experience in a health, education, or social care environment.
  • Short specialist courses relevant to the specific clinical area.
  • Full driving licence holder.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the therapeutic process, techniques, and activities relevant to the client group.
  • Basic assessment skills.
  • Ability to apply a range of technical and practical rehabilitation skills.
  • Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required, this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have

  • Breadth of experience in therapy or rehabilitation / re-ablement in a health, education, or social care environment

Please note this is a part-time post, and the salary will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Clydesdale ICST within Clydesdale Locality.
