Job summary

YMCA Palmview OSHC is seeking enthusiastic Educators to support children before and after school, and during holidays. Join a not-for-profit team focused on safe, engaging, and inclusive care in a community setting on the Sunshine Coast.

You will supervise, lead and participate in play-based activities with primary-aged children, promoting wellbeing, confidence and friendships through fun, energetic programming and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow.
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play.

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Palmview Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.

What you’ll do
